Project main objectives

The plant has been developed for cleaning of oil contaminated sandy soil and for extraction of contained oil.

Major plant parts:

  • feed hopper;
  • belt conveyor with spray nozzles for watering;
  • soil flushing module;
  • control box with PLC;
  • washing water cleaning module;
  • pumps;
  • hose couplings and flanges.


Work process description:

Raw material (oil contaminated sandy soil) is delivered into the feed hopper and then enters the belt conveyor for further transportation to the flushing module. Primary watering is carried out at this stage if necessary.


Next the soil is transported to flushing module consisting of high vibration sieve, built-in high pressure spray nozzles and hydrocyclone. High vibration sieve breaks up large soil lumps, and built-in nozzles wash the soil with high pressure water to flush the oil off.



Grading of soil particles as well as separation of foreign substances is carried out in the washing module.


Washing water cleaning module in turn performs washing water clearing and oil separation.


In addition, the separated oil could be dewatered in three-phase decanter centrifuge for further refinery or sale.


Cleaned water is fed into intermediate tank (provided by customer) and then is directed back to the plant reducing water consumption. 

The remaining sludge is fed into another tank (also provided by customer); it could be further dewatered in the decanter centrifuge.


Plant control is accomplished with touch sensor display built into the control box. The display also shows crucial process parameters and equipment data.


Plants parts are interconnected with the hoses included into the scope of delivery. GEKA fittings are used for hoses connections: valves, flanges (thread, plain, weld-neck etc.)
